Dr. Andrew Katumba
Principal Investigator
Lecturer, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Makerere University. Lead, Marconi Research and Innovation Lab. Dr. Katumba's research focuses on AI for healthcare and medical imaging in low-resource settings, leading projects on cancer screening and healthcare digitization in collaboration with the Uganda Cancer Institute.

Co-Principal Investigator
Senior Lecturer, Department of Computer Science, Makerere University. Head, Makerere Artificial Lab. Dr. Nakatumba-Nabende's research spans AI, machine learning, NLP, and business process management, with a focus on capacity building, diversity, and responsible AI in Africa.
